Banana Berry Smoothie

Banana Berry Smoothie

Banana Berry Smoothie is creamy blend of banana and yogurt which is a light yet a filling mid-day meal. Toss in a few of your favorite fruits, almonds, a little jaggery and you’re good to go!  This smoothie can be enjoyed chunky or blended silky smooth.

I make this smoothie at least 2 to 3 times a day for my daughter. She is a poor eater, but will drink this smoothie. So this is my way of making it a well balanced drink with a little brown sugar. This recipe is very forgiving, you can add any fruit you have in hand for this smoothie but do not skip the banana

  • Banana – Carbs
  • Yogurt – Probiotic & Fat
  • Nuts – Protein
  • Berries, Pineapple – Sugar, Vitamins & Fiber
  • Flax – Fiber, Omega-3

Smoothie blender yogurt and jaggery

Dairy: Use greek yogurt or thick yogurt for a thick smoothie finish. If your yogurt is not thick, skip or reduce the water.

Dairy Free: You can add soy milk or almond milk too, but add very little water in the blender

Sweetener: I like to use Jaggery powder. You can use any type of sweeteners you prefer or skip it

Smoothie in blender

I use my blender to make a smooth chunk free drink. You can use blend to a chunky texture if you like to chew the fruit and the nuts.
